Fancy theatre in Changsha where I watched Mission Impossible 3. The chairs were all Lazy Boys and you could adjust the back and legs support...oh ya, that's the life! The view from my window at Beijing Language U. My new Beijing friends Chen Hao, Qin LiZhi and Chen's girlfriend Anna. They brought me to a really neat place in Beijing (called Houhai) with nightclubs and a river running through the whole thing. It is built in and around a Hutong so it is very warm and cozy. LiZhi is from Hunan province and Chen works at my
University, he heard me saying I was teaching at Changsha and offered to introduce me to a local from there. Very nice of him indeed. Lizhi has already informed me that I was ripped off on my plane ticket price...so I guess I need all the help I can get!!!

I have uploaded all of my pictures to my shutterfly account. Password June 3 2006.

Pictures of the Great wall, and Linh, Beate and Brian. Campus photos; a neat bird; the rosebush-lined path to the friendship store; the eatery and market by the friendship store; Hayley and Amy's little friends who followed me to China, but I caught them spying on me as seen here above...Amy's spy was a little less obvious as he choose to hide in the grass... but I'm sending them back to their rightful owners!

The pictures of my classmates, campus and pictures of busy beijing are here. One is of a department store, where you see one floor of a 10-storey building on a corner of which there are four buildings like it...just selling electronics. They like to group like-concepts here in China! Special note that Katherine and Tim McManus are expecting Revlin any day now! Good luck to you both for a successful and easy birth...relatively speaking!

Beijing and Inner Mongolia...previous post has me and my classmates with Ma laoshi (teacher ma) and Liu laoshi (teacher Liu); a busy street where people buy electronics near campus in Beijing (crazy eh!), my campus at school including my building for class, the library, sports courts. This post has a lotus flower from a nice arrangement I passed every day on my way to class, Datong at night (those are not firecrackers, but lamps!), Inner Mongolia before we reached the grasslands; people singing (actually Holly singing!) on the bus; our guide singing; Cho Yoon Seo on a horse. (sorry Yoon Seo, the file was too big to send by email). Holly if you want this removed you've gotta leave a comment and say so...he he he!
